Poll results: Broncos fans want to trade for Antonio Brown

After news broke earlier this week that Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown has asked for a trade, Broncos Wire ran a poll asking Denver Broncos fans if the team should trade for the receiver.

At the time of this writing, 61 percent of fans said Denver should trade for Brown, if the price is right. The remaining 39 percent of fans said trading for Brown would not be worth it.

(The poll is still open.)

The Broncos’ coaching staff certainly has some familiarity with Brown. Zach Azzanni, the team’s wide receivers coach, coached Brown and the other receivers at Central Michigan from 2007-2009.

Trading for Brown would likely cost Denver at least one second-round draft pick. The Broncos currently have eight selections in the draft — the team owns at least one pick in all seven rounds.

Brown is set to have a salary cap hit of $22,165,000 this season. The 30-year-old receiver hauled in 104 receptions for 1,297 yards and 15 touchdowns in 15 games last season.
