Poll results: Broncos fans approve of Joe Flacco trade

After the Denver Broncos agreed to trade a fourth-round draft pick to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for quarterback Joe Flacco, Broncos Wire ran a poll asking fans if the team made the right move.

A majority of fans agree with the decision.

At the time of this writing, 53 percent of fans said it was the right move, 36 percent of fans said it was the wrong move and 11 percent of fans said they had no idea if it was the right move.

(The poll is still open.)

Flacco has never turned in flashy passing numbers (he’s no Peyton Manning, as Elvis Dumervil said), but he has a 10-5 record in the postseason. He’s won a Super Bowl (and Super Bowl MVP honors) so he clearly knows what it takes to help a team win a championship.

Trading for Flacco will give Denver more flexibility in the 2019 NFL draft — the team can now select the best player available with the 10th overall pick instead of potentially reaching for a quarterback.

We won’t know if it was a good move until we see how things turn out, but at the moment, it looks like a good decision.
