Jurgen Klopp’s side gave Liverpool fans plenty to celebrate as they ran out comfortable 3-0 winners against Norwich at the weekend.
The day started brightly, with Virgil van Dijk making his first Premier League appearance since October 2020.
Diogo Jota then opened the scoring in the first-half before Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah extended Liverpool’s lead, getting their season’s off to the perfect start with a goal.
But who did Reds supporters pick as Man of the Match?
The Liverpool ECHO shared a fan poll after the result, asking supporters to have their say.
More than 1,000 fans submitted their opinion, with Mohamed Salah the runaway choice among the fanbase, claiming 68% of the vote.
Salah provided the assist for both Jota and Firmino’s goals before unleashing a curling drive into the top corner to seal the three points.
Kostas Tsimikas came second in the chart with 9%, with the Greek full-back having impressed on his first Premier League start, after stepping in for the injured Andy Robertson.
Alisson ranked third with 5%, demonstrating the extent to which Salah was viewed as Liverpool’s standout performer.
Make sure you have your say in the next Man of the Match vote, as the Reds return to a packed-out Anfield to take on Burnley on Saturday.
