POLL: Is the Steelers’ next starting QB already on the roster?

One of the more interesting camp battles this season for the Pittsburgh Steelers is for the backup quarterback. We all recognize Ben Roethlisberger cannot play forever and despite him playing his best football, he won’t be around forever. There are currently three guys – Joshua Dobbs, Mason Rudolph and Devlin Rogers – behind him, but we have to wonder when Roethlisberger finally decides to hang up his cleats, will it be any of these guys who replace him?

As far as contracts go, here’s how things stand for the Steelers’ key backups. Dobbs is under contract through 2020 and Rudolph through 2021. Roethlisberger is also under contract through 2021. If we assume he’s retiring without another contract, the Steelers are going to have some difficult contract decisions to make with Dobbs and Rudolph depending on who they want to keep on the roster.

Let us know if you think the next starting quarterback for the Steelers is on the roster as of now.
