With the No. 20 overall selection, the Jacksonville Jaguars decided to double down on Southeastern Conference defenders by selecting Louisiana State edge-rusher, K’Lavon Chaisson. After the selection of Florida’s man-coverage ace, C.J. Henderson, the Jaguars looked to edge-rusher to replace Yannick Ngakoue.
Many expected Chaisson to be gone by pick No. 20, but he ultimately fell and it seems the talent was just too good to pass up on for general manager Dave Caldwell. Chaisson was a wrecking ball for LSU and he made his presence known in their biggest games. In his last seven games, Chaisson racked up nine tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks for the National Championship Tigers.
With some other talented players left on the board at key positions of need, namely teammate Justin Jefferson, did Caldwell and the Jaguars make the correct pick in taking Chaisson?
