Politics Weekly: Will Copenhagen be followed by a snap election?

This week, both the political and the natural climates are getting hot, as the Tory lead appears to shrink and talk of a snap election emerges. Environment talks in Copenhagen, meanwhile, seem to heading for farce.

In the studio, Tom Clark is joined by columnist Madeleine Bunting and comment editor Georgina Henry, while on the line from Copenhagan, our very own green guru, George Monbiot.

Whose cunning plot is the sudden idea of an early election on 25 March? And which party would benefit most? Michael White investigates – by getting a tip from his Westminster bookie. While in the studio, a Conservative party with a bewildering array of viewpoints gets everyone scratching their head.

George Monbiot is lost for words at the hopelessness of the Copenhagen talks – not to mention the fact that he can't even get into the building. So how do we save the planet? Is Cameron's grass-roots activism the answer?
