Politics Weekly podcast: coalition Britain - a great place to live?

Ed Miliband this week set out his latest policy to combat what he calls a 'cost of living crisis' - tax rebates for companies that choose to pay workers the living wage. It was siezed upon by his critics as a meddlesome measure that could complicate the tax system and contribute to higher unemployment.

Joining Tom Clark in the studio this week are the Observer's political editor Toby Helm, its economics editor Heather Stewart and the contributing editor of ConservativeHome Andrew Gimson.

Also this week: a new report into wellbeing by the OECD found that the UK is among the best places in the world to live and work. Meanwhile, the Office for National Statistics predicted that Britain's population is set to grow by nearly 10 million by 2037.

Plus: as the Conservatives hire the Australian election guru Lynton Crosby on a full-time contract worth £500,000 per year, we discuss how a no-nonsense approach to winning in 2015 will compare with 2010's "big society" campaign.
