Clinton back on campaign trail with stop in North Carolina
GREENSBORO, N.C. _ After a break while she recovers from pneumonia, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton spoke in Greensboro, N.C., on Thursday, where she criticized House Bill 2.
Clinton began her speech by mentioning her pneumonia, and said there are millions of Americans who can't take time off to recover as she did.
"They either go to work sick or they lose a paycheck," Clinton said. "They toss back a Tylenol and they chug orange juice. For millions of moms and dads, if they get sick there is no backup. That's the story of too many people still in America."
She said she is running for president for the "LGBT teenager." She criticized HB2 for hurting gay, lesbian and transgender individuals, as well as the N.C. economy.
"This is where bigotry leads and we can't afford it," Clinton said.
