Police in Renfrewshire have commended the courage of the women and young girl who were attacked by rapist Kenneth Bright after he was handed a lengthy prison sentence for his crimes.
Vile Bright was caged for seven years at Edinburgh High Court yesterday for a number of serious sexual offences, including rape, in Paisley, Johnstone and Glasgow going back to 2014.
The predator subjected all three of his victims to attacks while they were under the influence and incapable of consenting to sex.

Bright, 35, sexually assaulted and raped one woman in Glasgow when she was asleep and under the influence of drink or another substance and after she awoke.
He subjected a second sleeping woman, who was also under the influence, to a rape attack at a flat in Johnstone in September 2019.
His third victim was a 14-year-old girl who was subjected to a sex act and rape after she fell asleep at a flat in Paisley in February 2020 while she was under the influence.
Officers who investigated the crimes have welcomed the news Bright has been placed on the Sex Offenders’ Register indefinitely, and have hailed the bravery of the women who came forward to report him following the assaults.
Detective Inspector Allan Kelly also issued a warning to perpetrators who carry out sexual offences.
Following the sentencing, he said: “Bright preyed on women, including a 14-year-old girl, and escaped justice for a number of years, and I commend them for coming forward with such courage.
“Bright has now been jailed and I particularly welcome him being put on the sex offenders register indefinitely.
“Detectives want to let perpetrators of this kind of crime know that their behaviour will not be tolerated and Police Scotland will always investigate reports of a sexual nature, no matter when the offence happened, in a professional and sensitive manner.”
