Police warning over reports Nottinghamshire school pupils followed by a van

A warning has been issued by police after three school pupils raised concerns over a blue van which they believed was following them.

Nottinghamshire Police's Rushcliffe division said the pupils were walking together on the morning of Tuesday, November 30, when the incident is said to have happened.

The force received a report from the school itself, South Nottinghamshire Academy, which is based in Radcliffe-on-Trent.

The van in question is said to have been blue in colour.

In a statement on Facebook on Tuesday (November 30), Rushcliffe South Police said: "The pupils reported to academy staff that they thought the vehicle was following them at approximately 8am this morning and that the driver had stared at them at some point.

"We do not have any further details of the vehicle and are mindful that there may be a reasonable explanation for its behaviour but would like to take this opportunity to remind both pupils and parents to be vigilant with regard to such circumstances."
