Police warning after theft of dangerous dog drugs in Peterlee burglary

Durham Constabulary is warning people to be vigilant after dog steroids were stolen from a house in Peterlee.

Around 50 small white steroid tablets were taken during the suspected burglary in Harvey Close, sometime between midnight last night and 8am on Saturday morning (November 7).

It is thought the suspects gained entry through an unsecure front door.

The tablets were stored in a prescription bottle and are dangerous for human consumption.

Other items taken included a charcoal coloured Acer laptop, cable and headset, a ladies black leather purse and around £50 in cash.

Detective Constable, John Forster, said: “These tablets could cause severe medical issues if consumed by humans.

“I would urge anyone who has any information about the whereabouts of the tablets or any other stolen items to report it to us urgently.”

If you have any information call 101 quoting incident reference number 88 of November 7.
