BRIEF: Police warn West Town residents of recent burglaries

Nov. 24--Police are alerting residents and business owners in the West Town neighborhood on the West Side of a string of burglaries during the past week.

Three burglaries occurred within a half-mile of each other between Monday and Wednesday, according to Police News Affairs.

The first burglary happened during the day last Monday in the 1800 block of West Washington Boulevard. The second burglary happened between Monday and Wednesday in the 1900 block of West Walnut Street, and the third occurred overnight on Wednesday in the 1900 block of West Maypole Avenue,police said.

Anyone with information can call Area Central detectives at 312-747-8382.
