Police warn motorists 'alter your speed' after motorbike crash on M8 in West Lothian

Police have warned motorists "alter your speed" as weather conditions begin to take a turn for the worst, after a crash on the M8.

Emergency services rushed to to the scene of a motorbike crash on a slip road off the busy motorway, near Whitburn.

West Lothian's road policing unit attended the incident and say no one was seriously injured.

However officers are taking the opportunity to highlight the dangers of speeding, with seasonal driving conditions set to worsen as we head into winter.

A spokesperson for the unit said: "Now that the seasonal weather changes are upon us, please remember to alter your speed and driving to the weather conditions.

"West Lothian road police attended a vehicle collision this morning on the M8 off slip. Thankfully no injury."
