Police are warning fly-tipping won't be tolerated after officers discovered piles of waste when out on patrol.
Shocking pictures posted on their social media show piles of debris dumped on Hattonrigg Road and Canrbroe Road in Bellshill.
And, unbelievably, the waste on Hattonrigg Road was dumped close to the civic amenity site.
During lockdown there has been an upsurge in disgusting fly-tipping, blighting communities across Lanarkshire.

Police posted: "Officers came across this mess when out on patrol last week. Community policing officers will be carrying out dedicated patrols to include these areas.
" #Fly-tipping is not acceptable and ruins the community."
Locals also vented their anger with one posting: "The amount of fly tipping, litter and broken glass in Lanarkshire is an utter disgrace. These cretins have absolutely no respect for their surroundings. I dread to think what their houses look like!"
While another said: "Hope the people responsible are caught no respect for wildlife."
And one man wrote: "It’s everywhere, I see it when am on my travels...horrible to look at."
