Police want to speak with this man after trouble at Bolton Wanderers promotion match

Police have released a photo of a man they wish to speak to following an incident at a Bolton Wanderers match.

On May 1, hundreds of Wanderers fans gathered at the University of Bolton Stadium, during the club's match against Exeter City.

A win would have sealed promotion back to League One but the Whites lost 2-1 and trouble broke out after the game.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) have now released CCTV from the incident and have highlighted a man they wish to speak to.

A GMP spokesman said: "Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in relation to a Public Order Offence outside of the University of Bolton Stadium.

"At around 5pm on Saturday May 1 2021, police were called to reports of disorder outside the University of Bolton Stadium following a football match between Bolton Wanderers and Exeter City.

"Police now want to speak to a man captured on CCTV outside the south west side of the stadium.

"Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

"Reports can also be made through the GMP website, quoting crime reference number CRI/06PP/0010298/21."
