Police want to speak to woman after incidents at Tesco Express and Sainsbury’s

Police have released an image of a woman they would like to speak to as part of an investigation into reports of two public order offences at Nottingham supermarkets.

The first incident happened at Tesco Express in Hucknall Road on June 8 at 12.30pm.

Officers said a woman entered the store and after being told about social distancing. A spokesman for the force said she became abusive towards staff.

The second incident happened at Sainsbury’s in Castle Bridge Road on June 10 at around 9.50am.

The police spokesman said "a woman was abusive to staff and then assaulted security".

According to police, a woman also attempted to attack another woman and made a racial remark to her.

Police Constable Aaron Harthill-Harrison is leading the investigation. He said: "The force takes public order offences like this very seriously. The words she said has led to distress for the victim and were totally out of order and unacceptable.

"Do you recognise this woman pictured? We’d like to speak to her in connection with both incidents.

"If you saw either incident, was in the store or nearby to the supermarkets and saw the woman please get in touch.

"If you recognise the woman please call 101, quoting incident number 300 of 8 June 2020."
