As part of their enquiries, police have now released a picture of a male they wish to speak to.

Police say they have 'exhausted all lines of enquiry' since the incident more than four months ago.

The man, who has blonde hair, has been captured wearing a black 'Vivienne Westwood' t-shirt with a white logo.

Anyone who can help is being urged to contact the police or inform Crimestoppers anonymously.

An appeal tweet by Greater Manchester Police today said: "Do you recognise this male? We want to speak to him after a 22-year-old man was assaulted on Thomas Street in the Northern Quarter and left with serious injuries.

"The 22-year-old was punched to the head at around 10.45pm on 11 September 2021 and we've followed and exhausted all lines of enquiry since the incident which is why we're now appealing for the public's help.
