Police have appealed for information to identify a man they want to speak with in connection with an assault in Newport last month.
Gwent Police are looking to speak with the man in connection with the incident which took place in the Premier store on Alexandra Road in Newport at approximately 2pm on Friday, August 7.
The victim of the assault was punched in the head following a verbal exchange, after which the offender left the store. The victim did not require any medical treatment.
A statement from Gwent Police on Wednesday said: "We’re appealing for information to identify this man who we would like to speak with following an assault.
"The assault took place in the Premier store on Alexandra Road in Newport at approximately 2pm on Friday August 7.
"A verbal exchange took place and the victim was punched to the head. Fortunately he didn't require any medial treatment. The offender then left the store.
"Anyone with information that could assist is asked to call 101 quoting 2000289451 or DM us."
