Police want to speak to this man after woman hit by her own car during robbery

Police have issued an image of a man they want to speak to after a pensioner was hit by her own car during a robbery. The woman - aged in her 70s - was left lying injured on the ground following the incident in Shaw, Oldham, on Saturday evening (May 7).

An "unknown male" managed to gain access to the blue Ford Eco-Sport car while it was parked on the drive of a property in Netherhouse Road at about 7pm. As he drove off, police say he collided with the owner of the vehicle.

The victim was left with cuts to her head. Both the suspect and the vehicle remain at large.

Greater Manchester Police has now issued an image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident. Officers are urging anyone with information to get in touch.

Police Constable Oliver Greene, of GMPs Oldham Divisional Crime Team, said: “The stolen vehicle, a blue Ford Eco-Sport, and the offender remains outstanding. We are following some lines of enquiry but we need the public’s help to try and locate the suspect.

"If anyone has any information which will aid us in identifying the male seen in the attached image, please contact the Police on 0161 856 9066, quoting log number 2785 of the 7 May 2022”.
