Police want to speak to this man after stabbing

A man needed nine stitches after being stabbed by a man in Montpelier.

The incident happened in the Ashley Road area back on December 7 at around 5am.

A 40-year-old man was attacked by another man with a knife. He required nine stitches to his arms in hospital.

Police have now released CCTV of a man who is wanted in connection with the assault.

Police say the offender is described as black, approximately 5ft 7ins tall, of large build and with short black hair. He is believed to be in his early 30s.

Anyone who recognises the man pictured in the CCTV footage is urged to call 101 and provide the call handler with the reference 5219282974.
