Police want to speak to this man after serious assault in Warrington

Officers want to speak to this man following an unprovoked assault in Warrington town centre that left another man with serious injuries to his face.

A 20-year-old from Macclesfield was taken to hospital after the blind side attack during a night out, police said.

The incident occurred outside Reef Bar on Bridge Street at around 4.50am on Sunday 3 November.

Cheshire Police are investigating the incident and believe the man pictured in the CCTV may have vital information.

Police Constable Neil Mooney, of Warrington Local Policing Unit, said: “We believe that the man in the CCTV image may have important information to help with our ongoing investigation into a serious assault in the town centre.

“The victim suffered a serious facial injury after being subjected to an unprovoked assault on a night out and we are determined to establish who was responsible and make them face the consequences of their actions."

Anyone who recognises the man or knows who he is asked to call Cheshire Constabulary on 101, quoting IML 555698 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
