Police want to speak to this man after racial abuse at pub in Bristol

Police want to speak to this man after a staff member was racially abused at a Bristol pub.

A CCTV image has been released of the unidentified man, who is described as white, balding and large.

Avon and Somerset Police shared the picture today (Monday, November 9), months after the verbal assault took place back in summer.

It happened at the Tap and Barrel pub in Dean Lane, Southville, at about 8pm on Friday, August 28.

The force said a member of the door staff at the pub was "racially abused" and they want to speak to the man in relation to their enquiries.

Police did not specify what was said.

A spokesperson said: "We’re keen to speak to the man seen in this CCTV image, who is described as white, in his 50s, of large build with grey hair which was balding on top.

"He wore a green polo shirt and jeans.

"We’d urge him to come forward by calling 101 and quoting reference 5220196154."

Anyone who recognises the man or who has any information can also call 101, providing the same reference number.
