Police want to speak to this man after parked cars were scratched 'by a key' outside nursery

A number of cars were scratched "by a key" after being parked outside a nursery.

Police are now investigating the spate of criminal damage at Hetton-le-Hole and have released an image of a man they would like to trace.

At around 9am on Thursday, August 8, police received a report that parked vehicles had been damaged outside Hetton Nursery School on Victoria Street.

The doors are believed to have been scratched by a key.

An investigation is ongoing into the incidents, and as part of their inquiries, officers have now identified a man they would like to speak to.

He was in the area at the time of the offence and could have information that can assist officers.

The man, or anyone who knows him, is asked to contact Northumbria Police on 101 quoting reference 100511T/19 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
