Police want to speak to this man after a thief swiped more than £10k in car parts

Detectives investigating the theft of car parts worth thousands of pounds have published CCTV images of a man they want to speak to.

Officers say a thief has been targeting cars parked on showroom forecourts, breaking into the vehicles and then stealing any high value parts.

At least six thefts have taken place between June 2019 and August of this year and have mostly occurred at businesses in Bolton, with some in Wigan and Chorley.

All of these incidents are believed to be linked.

Police estimate the value of all the items taken is more than £10,000.

They have released three CCTV images of a man they want to speak to about the thefts and have published them on social media.

So far nobody has been arrested for the thefts.

Anyone with information about the man in question can call police on 0161 856 5761 quoting incident number 3411 of 04/08/2020.

Details can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
