Police want to speak to these two women following a stabbing in Nottingham

Officers investigating a stabbing want to speak to these two women pictured on CCTV as they may have vital information about the assault.

Two 24-year-old men were stabbed in the attack by two men in Lower Parliament Street in at around 3.51am on Sunday, April 28.

They both received hospital treatment but were later discharged.

Detective Constable Paul Kirkby said: "We are appealing for these two women to get in touch as soon as possible - or anyone who recognises them - as they may have information that could help the enquiry.

"We still also want to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything.

"We know a large number of people were in the area at the time and haven't come forward so I would urge them to call 101 too, quoting incident number 144 of 28 April 2019.

"If you'd rather report something anonymously you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
