Police want to speak to these two men after man seriously injured in 'unprovoked and frightening' attack

Police have released CCTV images of two men they want to speak to after an 'unprovoked and frightening' attack in Bury.

Two offenders assaulted the 44-year-old victim on School Street in the Pimhole area at around 11pm on Friday, July 24.

They then stole his personal belongings in the random attack.

The victim was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

No arrests have been made and police are now appealing for information about the assault.

Detectives have released CCTV images of two men they want to speak to in connection to the incident.

They are asking for anyone who recognises them to come forward.

Detective Sergeant Andy Wright of GMP’s Bury District said: “This was a serious and random assault that has left a male seriously ill in hospital.

“I am appealing to the public to help identify the men pictured so we can speak to them about this incident.

“This was an unprovoked and frightening attack and I encourage anyone with any information to come forward in a bid to aid this investigation.”
