Police want to speak to these men in connection with an incident in which a gay couple who tried to defend two women from being bombarded with homophobic comments were attacked and pushed against a train.
The two men were travelling on a train to Manchester Piccadilly when a group of around nine drunk men started shouting offensive comments around the carriage.
The group started yelling derogatory comments at two women, who challenged them.
They then became ‘very aggressive', British Transport Police (BTP) said.
A male couple, also on board, challenged the drunken yobs.
At that point, another two men, separate to the group, started shouting insults at the gay couple.
One stole a pair of glasses from the couple. As everyone left the train at Manchester Piccadilly, they were attacked.
Police say one of the victims was pushed against a train at the station.
The incident also sparked an ‘altercation’ outside Sainsbury’s, on the station concourse, where a member of the public was pushed to the floor,BTP said.
Officers have now released CCTV images following the assaults, which happened between 9pm and 10pm on Saturday, June 29.
The men pictured in these images may have information that could help the investigation, BTP say.
