Police want to speak to these men about the brutal assault of an 18-year-old woman in Manchester's Gay Village

These are the three men police want to speak to in connection with the assault of a teeanger in Manchester’s Gay Village.

Shocking footage released by police investigating the attack on 18-year-old Gabrielle Walsh shows the moment she was punched unconscious.

Her friend Kyle McKeown, 18, was also attacked and is seen to collapse onto the road.

Investigating officers have now released an additional image of three men they are keen to speak to in connection with the attack.

Senior Investigating Officer, Constable Ben Lomax, of Greater Manchester Police’s City Centre Division, described the assault as a ‘cowardly attack’.

“Clearly, there were numerous people who not only witnessed this attack but will have seen the three men hastily departing the scene shortly afterwards,” he said.

“Several good Samaritans came to the aid of the victims shortly after this attack, for which we are grateful.

“Imagine if you or a member of your family was subjected to this kind of violence? You would quite rightly hope the perpetrators are caught.

“We want to speak to the three men who are highlighted running from the area shortly after the attack in this footage.

“Do you recognise them or the clothes they are wearing? One in particular has a distinctive way of running. Their clothes, too, are quite distinctive.

“Perhaps you saw three people like this earlier on during that evening, or later in the night. If you know something, please get in touch as soon as possible.”

Gabrielle was attacked as she left a club in Manchester's gay village at around 3.30am last Saturday, July 13.

CCTV footage of the incident shows a man swing a punch before she falls to the ground as bystanders run to help as she lies unconscious on Richmond Street.
