Police want footage of car which rammed police vehicle in Reid

ACT Policing is calling for dashcam footage of a car they say drove erratically through multiple parts of Canberra and rammed a police vehicle in Reid this morning.

Police received multiple reports of a black Volkswagen Tiguan SUV driving erratically through the City, Belconnen and Gungahlin areas between 5am and 9am on Monday.

They allege the driver intentionally rammed a police vehicle in Reid.

Officers pursued the car and attempted to stop the driver using multiple police resources, including stop sticks. The two people who were in the SUV were apprehended by police in Lyneham.

Police are calling on anyone who may have dashcam footage of the vehicle to come forward.

The SUV received significant damage to the door and bumper on the driver's side.

Anyone with information or CCTV or dashcam footage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Please quote reference number 6635807.
