Police 'very concerned' for man who went missing after night out in Edinburgh

Police say they're "very concerned" for the welfare of a man who went missing following a night out in Edinburgh.

Aaron Connolly last contacted his family at 2.15am this morning and he hasn't been heard from since.

The 27-year-old is from East Renfrewshire and had been on a night out in the capital.

He may be trying to travel to Inverness or Aberdeen by bus, though he also has connections in Glasgow.

PC Izabella Sadlik from Leith police station said: "We are very concerned for Aaron's wellbeing and urge him to get in contact with his family or friends.

"Anyone who thinks they may have seen him last night in Edinburgh city centre or this morning, is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 0441 of 27 April."

Aaron is around 5ft 9in tall, well built and has dark hair. He may be wearing a dark green denim shirt and black jeans.

He has tattoos on his arms and on his ring finger.
