Police 'very concerned' for man who did not return to Belfast home

Police say they are 'very concerned' for a man who was last seen close to the Ulster Hospital in County Down.

Police North Belfast says that Samuel Smyth was last spotted in the area of the Ulster Hospital in Dundonald, Co Down, at 12.15pm yesterday (July 27). He was believed to be returning to his home in The Mount area of Belfast but did not arrive and there has been no trace of him since.

Officers say that he was wearing a dark green hoodie with dark bottoms and a white pair of trainers. They are asking that anybody who has seen him or has any knowledge as to his whereabouts to contact them as soon as possible.

Police North Belfast said in a Facebook post : "Police are very concerned for the welfare of missing person, Samuel Smyth. Samuel was last seen in the area of the Ulster Hospital at 12:15pm on 27/7/22 believed to be returning to his home in The Mount area of Belfast.

"Samuel was wearing a dark green hoodie, dark bottoms and a white pair of trainers. If you have seen Samuel or have any information which would assist us in locating him please contact 101 quoting reference number 743 of 27/7/22."
