Police 'very concerned' as they search for boy, 12, with head injury who's gone missing from hospital

Police are desperately searching for a 12-year-old boy who went missing from a hospital after being admitted with a head injury. Officers from Lancashire Police are “very concerned” for the safety of Joseph Steeley, who was last seen at Royal Lancaster Infirmary on Wednesday night (August 10).

The force said he was receiving treatment after “taking off his bike”. But officers are now appealing for information about the missing young lad, who they said “needs to return to hospital”.

Joseph, who is described as 5ft 2ins tall and of slim build, was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt, black trousers and dark orange Karrimor trainers. A Lancashire Constabulary spokesperson added that boy has links to the Morecambe, Lancaster and Leyland areas.
