
Five people have been taken to hospital after a police van responding to a 999 call and a car crashed in south-east London.
The incident happened outside Better Gym in Crook Log, Bexleyheath just before 9.30am on Tuesday.
Emergency services – including paramedics and London Fire Brigade – attended.
The male car driver, in his 70s, was taken to hospital as a precaution.
His injuries are not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening.

A Metropolitan Police spokeswoman said: “Four Met officers, who were passengers in the police van at the time of the collision, were also taken to hospital and are being treated for injuries.
“We await an update on their condition.”
Road closures remain in place in both directions towards The Broadway and no arrests have been made.
