Police urgently searching for schoolboy, 15, who has been missing for nine days

Police have launched an appeal to find a 15-year-old schoolboy who vanished nine days ago.

Gwent Police are urgently searching for David Mayo who disappeared without explanation.

The teenager last seen on Saturday, May 1 and officers say they are concerned for his welfare.

David, who is from Cwmbran, South Wales, is described as white, 5”9 tall, of thin build and has short brown hair.

He was last seen wearing a white, red and blue Nike jumper, dark jogging bottoms and a black coat.

Police have stepped up their search for the teenager who also has known links to Chepstow, Didcot, Ipswich and London.

A spokesman for Gwent police said: "He is described as white, 5’ 9” tall, of thin build and has short, brown hair.

"He was last seen wearing a white, red and blue Nike jumper, dark jogging bottoms and a black coat.

"He has known links to Chepstow, Didcot, Ipswich and London."
