Police urge people in North West not to buy these nine Staffy puppies

Nine pint-sized puppies have been stolen from their beds, prompting police to issue an urgent warning.

Cruel burglars crept into a Lancashire house in the middle of the night and snatched the tiny Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppies.

They were taken in the early hours of Tuesday morning (March 3) in the Shadsworth area of Blackburn.

Officers from Lancashire Constabulary are now asking people in the North West to be vigilant of anyone trying to sell the three-week-old dogs.

According to LancsLive, they have released pictures of the puppies as part of an appeal to help bring them back home safely.

A force spokesperson said: "We are appealing to the community to be on the lookout for people who may be trying to sell young puppies.

"There was a report of a burglary in the Shadsworth area in the early hours of today (Wednesday 03/03) where 9 Staffordshire bull terrier puppies have been stolen from a property.

"The puppies are only 3 weeks old and should not be away from the parents at that age.

"If you get offered one, please contact us on 101 and quote log number 0113 of 03/03 straight away."
