A 21-year-old person was taken to hospital after a crash on the A77 at Kilmarnock on Wednesday.
Two articulated lorries collided near to the Grassyards Interchange which left the road heading southbound closed for a number of hours.
The driver was later released from Crosshouse Hospital with minor injuries.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report of a road traffic collision involving two artic lorries on the A77 near the Grassyards interchange around 9.20am on Wednesday, April 1.
"A 21-year-old driver was taken to Crosshouse Hospital and released with minor injuries.
"The southbound carriageway at junction 8 was closed for around four hours."
