Police update on man who was left fighting for life after crash in Bristol city centre

Police say the injuries of a pedestrian hurt in a city centre crash are no longer life-threatening.

Officers were called to a collision in Lewins Mead involving a car and a pedestrian in the early hours of yesterday (Sunday, February 9).

A 28-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment by South Western Ambulance Service at around 4am.

An Avon and Somerset police spokesman said: "He remains in hospital with injuries no longer believed to be life-threatening.

“If anyone saw this collision, or has information which could help us, including any dash cam footage, then please call us on 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5220032516."
