Police update on Hucknall fight involving hammers, screwdrivers and glass bottles

Nottinghamshire Police have thanked the public for their help after six people attended voluntary interviews over a fight involving hammers, screwdrivers and glass bottles.

Police are now renewing their appeal and want to speak to anyone who may have dash-cam or mobile phone footage of the incident.

The appeal relates to an incident in St Mary’s Way in Hucknall at around 9.30pm on Friday June 26.

Officers were called to a report of a large fight in the street, where it was reported that hammers, screwdrivers and glass bottles were seen and at least four people received injuries which required hospital treatment.

No arrests have been made at this stage.

Police Constable Alan Pawson, who is investigating the incident said: “I would like to thank the public for their fantastic response to our first appeal.

“Some really helpful information came out of it and six people have now attended voluntary interviews following the incident.

“However, we still need video footage and so I would like to reiterate my appeal for anyone who may have filmed the fight, or captured it on a dash-cam, to get in touch with us.”

Anyone who has footage of the incident should call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 873 of 26 June.
