Police update on Audi found stuck in bush

Police have revealed more about an incident which led to residents of a small village on the outskirts of Bristol waking up to find a car sticking out of a bush on their road.

The white A3 was pictured yesterday (August 25) almost on top of a large shrub on Orpheus Avenue in Little Stoke, South Gloucestershire.

Pictures were posted on the local magazine Bradley Stoke Matters' Facebook page while locals discussed the mystery.

According to police, the car crashed into the bush just before 7pm on Saturday (August 24) after appearing to lose control.

The four occupants of the car left the scene immediately after the collision.

An Avon and Somerset Constabulary spokesman said: "We were called to reports of a single vehicle RTC at about 6.50pm on Saturday 24 August.

"A car appeared to lose control on a roundabout in Orpheus Lane in Little Stoke and was in collision with a roadside bush.

"Four occupants in the car – two females and two males – left the scene.

" Police enquiries into the incident are continuing."

Elsewhere in Bradley Stoke, (August 26) after police found four victims, one of whom had a serious head injury.
