Police have now departed the scene of an earlier incident at Dickson Drive in Irvine.
Police confirmed they were called to the area at 1.05pm over a 'concern for a person'.
Dickson Drive near the town centre was blocked off by a number of police cars at the corners of Livingstone Terrace and Hunter Drive earlier today.
Eyewitnesses counted at least 10 vehicles in the vicinity including police, national risk and resilience department vans, and ambulances.
