A man has been released on bail following his arrest in connection with a reported rape.

Police are investigating an alleged attack at Brunswick Square Cemetery in St Paul's.

The woman was reportedly raped on Sunday (October 13) at around 6pm.

Yesterday (October 14), police said a 38-year-old man, who was known to the woman, had been arrested.

In an update today (October 15), Avon and Somerset Constabulary said: "The suspect has been released on conditional police bail pending further enquiries."

Police tape was seen yesterday across gates leading to the graveyard, with police cars pictured nearby.
