Police uncover thousands in cash and 'uncut Class A drugs' after raid at Wigan home

Police discovered thousands of pounds in cash and 'uncut Class A drugs' after raiding a house in Wigan.

Officers investigating drug dealing in the area targeted a property in Collett Close, Scholes, on Friday, April 23.

They found bags of what they believe to be unprocessed drug material as well a large amount of money.

One person was arrested at the scene but police are hoping to hunt down more suspects who they believe were involved.

In a post on Facebook, a spokesperson for GMP's Wigan West team said: "Neighbourhood officers from Scholes and Wigan West combined on Friday, April 23, to execute a misuse of drugs act warrant at an address on Collett Close, Scholes.

"What appears to be a considerable amount of uncut Class A drugs were recovered along with several thousand pounds in cash.

"One person was arrested at the address and enquiries are now being undertaken to uncover the further co-conspirators.

"Further arrests will follow. Pictured are some of the suspected drugs and cash recovered as proceeds of crime."

Anyone with information about suspected drug offences in Wigan can contact GMP on 101.
