People were turned away from entering a busy park after reports of a shooting.
The ECHO understands Merseyside Police were called to Fazakerley Hall Recreation Ground in Fazakerley today, May 4, following reports of a shooting.
A spokesperson for police confirmed to the ECHO there had been no arrest at the time of writing but the victim's condition was believed to be "not serious". No further information regarding the incident has been made available at this time.

Images taken by the ECHO showed a police cordon in place at the entrance to the recreation ground on both Hawksmoor Road and Lower Lane. Blue police tape prevented people entering and officers patrolled the entrances.
The ECHO was told by a number of people that police weren't allowing people into the park while officers remained at the scene. One eyewitness told the ECHO they were turned away from walking their dog in the park because of the ongoing incident.
