Police treating man's body found in Fife field as 'unexplained'

Police say the discovery of a man's body at a farm in Fife today is being treated as 'unexplained'.

Officers were called to Cardenbarns Farm near Kirkcaldy at around 10.30am where they discovered the body of a 43-year old on a track.

Cops are now working to establish the circumstances surrounding the death but say the death is not being treated as "suspicious."

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police in Fife can confirm that the body of a 43-year old man was found on a track within the grounds of Cardenbarns Farm around 10.30am on Saturday, 2 January, 2021.

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the death, which is currently being treated as unexplained but not suspicious.
