Police are investigating after a man's body was found in Greenock last night.
The 27-year-old man was discovered within a property in Maple Road at around 9.20pm.
Cops say they are treating his death as unexplained.
The area has been locked down as police carry out their investigations.
Enquiries are ongoing.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "About 9.20pm on Thursday 26 September 2019 the body of a 27-year-old male was discovered in a property in Maple Road, Greenock.
"His death is being treated as unexplained at this time and police remain at the scene making enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident."
