Police in Snowdonia have towed seven vehicles who parked inconsiderately at the foot of Snowdon.
The blitz, which included a motorhome, an Audi and a Range Rover, followed repeated warnings from officers that they would be getting strict in the national park after chaotic scenes two weeks ago.
Dozens of vehicles were seen parked along the A5 in the Ogwen Valley and the A4086 between Pen-y-Pass and the Pen-y-Gwryd hotel at the foot of Snowdon.
North Wales Live reported yesterday seven vehicles were towed away by police leaving motorists with fines and costs of well over £100 apiece.
A North Wales Police spokesman said: "Despite our repeated warnings some have continued to park irresponsibly and dangerously on the A5 in the Ogwen area.
"Officers were approached by concerned members of the public who were forced to walk in the road - some with young children. This is clearly unacceptable and dangerous.
"A total of seven vehicles were towed and the owners must now pay to have them returned."
The spokesman added patrols will continue and any inconsiderately parked vehicles will be removed.
The Ogwen Valley has one pay-and-display car park and several laybys in which vehicles are allowed to park. There is also a pull-in area and one privately owned parking area.
But the fine weather drew the crowds on Saturday and these spaces were full by mid-morning.
Vehicles have been seen parking on the pavements in the area for several years and there have been repeated calls for action.
At Pen-y-Pass a park and ride operation has been introduced at weekends with buses from Nant Peris every 15 minutes from 8am until 6pm.
