Police thank public for coming to their aid in Bridgend BMW drama

Two police community support officers (PCSOs) have taken to Twitter to publicly thank motorists who helped them move a broken-down car to safety near Bridgend this afternoon (Tuesday October 12).

On the South Wales Police Bridgend Twitter page, PCSOs Couch and Cretu briefly described the incident, which involved them and passing motorists working together to push the BMW up a hill in the Pyle area.

The tweet read: "PCSOs Couch & Cretu would like to thank the motorists who stopped to help them push 2 ton of broken down BMW up the hill to safety in the Pyle area today.

"The owner was also very grateful! Excellent work all, thank you."

The police force asks that any road users wanting to report incidents should dial 999 if it is an emergency, otherwise their control room can be messaged directly on Twitter at @swp101 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
