Police tape off street in Aberdeenshire after sudden death

Police Scotland have taped off a street in Aberdeenshire following a sudden death in the area.

Ythan Terrace in the area of Ellon is currently closed off and officers are manning the scene.

Cordons were put in place at around 8.30am this morning, shortly after police received a call alerting them to what had happened.

Locals report seeing officers standing guard at the entry to the cordon near some sheds and a second cop was seen at the other side of the cordon street the Ythan River.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers are in attendance in the Ythan Terrace area of Ellon following a sudden death.

"A call was received at around 8.15am this morning.

"Enquiries are ongoing and there will be a police presence in the area while these are carried out.

"Thank you to the local community for your patience."
