Police tape off road as woman taken to hospital after 'falling from van'

Police

A woman was rushed to hospital after 'falling from a van' on a road in Ashton-under-Lyne.

Police and paramedics were called to the scene on Oldham Road last night (Sunday). Eyewitnesses reported that a stretch of the road was taped off in both directions at around 10pm.

Pictures showed a number of emergency vehicles responding to the incident. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said the woman 'fell from a van'.

She was taken to hospital from the scene. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

Enquiries into the incident are ongoing, the spokesperson added.
