Police tape off field near Salford primary school after shooting

Police have taped off a field in Salford after a shooting.

GMP said they were called to reports of a 'firearms discharge' on Bradden Close in Langworthy, near Lark Hill Primary School.

They were called at about 10.30pm last night.

Officers have remained at the scene today as their investigation continues.

A dog unit is currently searching the area, and officers are standing guard as a cordon around the field remains in place.

The force said no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.

In a statement released to the M.E.N., GMP said: "Police were called shortly after 10.30pm on Friday 3 January 2020 to a report of a firearms discharge on Bradden Close, Salford.

"Officers attended and found damage to a property consistent with a firearms discharge.

"A scene remains in place as enquiries continue.

"No arrests have been made."
